Forcadell has advised Goiko Grill in the opening of its first establishment in Barcelona. The premise, very close to the Plaça de Tetuan, has an surface of 400 sqm and is distributed between the ground floor and the attic. With this transaction, the hamburger restaurant chain consolidates its expansion objective throughout the Spanish territory and adds the Catalan Capital to the list of cities that have Goiko Grills: Madrid, Valencia, Zaragoza and Alicante. This hamburger restaurant chain started their activity in in Barcelona on August 17 and has already opened a second restaurant in the city.
According to Toni López, Forcadell Partner and Director of the Corporate Real Estate Area, "retail in Barcelona has evolved very positively during H1 2017, in line with the stability and consolidation trend of the last two years. The location chosen by Goiko Grill is an area full of local shops and restaurants. The Passeig de Sant Joan boulevard, where the restaurant is located, has wide sidewalks-17 meters-the widest ones in the Eixample, a characteristic that encourages the influx of terraces ". The street has undergone an authentic transformation in recent years, and this "redevelopment of the Passeig Sant Joan boulevard has increased rental prices by 20%," says Xavi Aguilar, Director of the Forcadell Retail department.
Goiko Grill is a fusion Basque-Venezuelan chain of hamburger restaurants founded in 2013 by a young entrepreneur who hung his doctor's coat and decided to try out with the stoves. With this establishment in Barcelona, there will be 20 restaurants that the company has in Spain, 14 of them in Madrid, a city in which they became known for the quality of their product and their pleasant and carefree atmosphere. As a sign of their desire to offer something different, each Goiko Grill has a unique burger, only available in that restaurant and that has been created by its staff; the one in Barcelona is called La Mercat and contains - in addition to meat – escalivada (oven roasted peppers), black olives, Tronchón cheese, watercress and crushed tomatos.
